After studying at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Robert worked with Distrigaz from 2003–2006 and Lazar Instalcom SRL from 2006–2008, then spent the next ten years managing installation teams in the United Kingdom.
As supervisor with London Electrical Group and head supervisor for Plumbing & Engineering Services at London MEP, he designed and delivered complex systems for office buildings and led teams of more than 80 people.
In 2021 he came back to Bucharest and put the UK decade to work as a contractor for Romanian companies — the client roster below — before registering Pimlico Instal in 2024. The name is a nod to the Pimlico district of London: the decade that set the company’s standard is written into it. The company provides plumbing and heating installation, repairs, maintenance and design using established materials and documented working practices.
We accept a limited number of projects so the same person can assess the job, set the price and check the work through to handover. We chose this model once demand became steady: Pimlico remains deliberately small rather than expanding the team indefinitely.
